Born and raised in San Diego, California, Gaylene brings over 27 years of clinical experience to the medical division.  She began her nursing career as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in 1980.  She attended Metropolitan State College in Denver Colorado for her Bachelors degree in Hospital Administration and then went on to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Colorado.  Working in perioperative settings, Gaylene became Nationally Certified in Operating Room Nursing in 2002 and is a member of AORN, ASPAN and NAPPSI, remaining connected to the clinical issues that drive medical device IP. She has held clinical, management and administrative positions for outpatient surgical centers and Scripps Memorial Hospital, La Jolla where she successfully managed Budgets, Quality Control and Human Resources.
